On June 30, 2019, Grammy-nominated rapper Jeezy announced a partnership with Freddie Figgers, founder of Figgers Communications, to launch a cell phone brand and wireless products.
The new partnership aims to provide affordable and high-quality wireless products, rivalling current competitor standards at a lower price point.
The first products released under the partnership are the F3 cell phone and F-Buds earpods.
According to Jeezy, "There was a point in my life where I wasn’t able to pay the phone bill. Now as a businessman and entrepreneur to be able to partner with Freddie, someone who overcame similar life obstacles, and to give people more access to handheld technology at an affordable price, it’s a true blessing."
The F3 cell phone features 5G-readiness, a 4K display, 18 megapixel dual cameras, and multiple user profiles in a single phone. It is also made with shatter-resistant glass and is water resistant, retailing for $449.
The F-Buds earpods pair with any Bluetooth device and can translate over 100 languages to the language of choice when used with Figgers phones, priced at $49.
