On a fateful Friday night, Felix Otieno's life was cut short in a tragic incident at his girlfriend's house in Kahawa Wendani, Ruiru. The 29-year-old pharmacy student was playing computer games with a friend when two men stormed in and fired two shots, one of which hit him in the lower abdomen.

Police are yet to establish the motive behind the killing, but sources suggest it could be a love triangle or a deal gone sour. Otieno's girlfriend was not present at the time of the incident, and detectives are still trying to trace her.

Ruiru Police Chief James Ngetich confirmed that investigations have been opened into the incident, with detectives from the Elite Special Crimes Prevention Unit joining the probe. Ngetich stated, "There are many issues coming up but we are hoping to unravel the reasons. We need to know who the killers are, if they were robbers and why they picked on the student (Otieno)."

On the night of the incident, the attackers asked for the whereabouts of another person, leading to a confrontation. A second team of DCI officers was dispatched to the scene, where they recorded statements from eyewitnesses.
