With a historic chance at their feet, Harambee Stars striker Michael Olunga has urged his teammates to stay focused ahead of their crucial match against Senegal in the Africa Cup of Nations.

Kenya plays Senegal tomorrow in their last Group C match, aiming for a famous result against their fancied opponents.

Should they succeed, it would guarantee Stars a place into the knockout stages, a historic moment that would be etched in the memories of Kenyan football fans for years to come.

“Senegal is a team like any other. They are human beings and are bound to make mistakes. If we play like we did against Tanzania, then I trust we will get the three points and advance to the knockouts,” Olunga said in an interview after their 3-2 victory over Tanzania on Thursday night.

With the stakes high, Harambee Stars head coach Sebastian Migne has cautioned against overconfidence, urging his charges to stay grounded and focused.

“We are coming up against a top side in Africa and it will not be easy. So far, we have done our best, but we seek more. Remember, we have nothing to lose,” said Migne.

As the clock ticks down to the final whistle, Harambee Stars will be relying on their fans to pray for friendlier results from other groups to secure their place in the knockout stages.
