June 29, 2019 - The United States has urged Sudan's security forces and military to refrain from using violence as the country braces for a mass protest on June 30.

Sudan has been run by the military since the ousting of longtime ruler Omar al-Bashir on April 11, marking an anniversary of his 1989 military coup.
