Kenya captain Victor Wanyama is confident that his team has found its fighting spirit and is ready to face Senegal in the Africa Cup of Nations.

Wanyama, who has been impressed with the team's comeback against Tanzania, believes that Kenya is ready to challenge Senegal for a spot in the last 16 on Monday, July 1.

"The last game is the final for us. The last game we will put everything and we fight for everything to make sure we get something as well, because now we have confidence to go to the next match," Wanyama said after grabbing three crucial points against Tanzania.

Kenya extended their celebration following a hard-earned victory over Tanzania in the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) Group C match on Thursday night in Egypt.

Senegal cruised past Tanzania in their opening group stage clash that finished 2-0, before Algeria outplayed Kenya to win by a similar scoreline.

However, Algeria managed to defeat the Lions of Teranga despite Senegal reinforcing their attackline with the return of Sadio Mane.

Algeria leads group C with 6 points while Senegal is second with three, same as third-placed Kenya.

Wanyama was impressed with the team's brazen comeback against Taifa Stars and believes Kenya is ready to challenge Senegal for a spot in the last 16 on Monday, July 1.
