On June 22, 2019, Vincent Andaje Ndungah, a primary school teacher, was arrested in Kitengela, Kajiado County, after being on the run since 2017. He was wanted for the murder of his step brother, Sammy Anekeah, which occurred on September 6, 2017, at their home in Isulu Village, Kakamega Central.

According to Inspector Kiprono Mosonik, the suspect was initially arrested but released when the matter was scheduled to proceed by way of public inquest. However, the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) ordered that Andaje be charged with murder.

On Friday, June 28, 2019, Andaje was arraigned before Kakamega Senior Principal Magistrate Dolphine Alego. The investigating officer applied to have the suspect undergo a mental test to confirm if he is fit to stand trial.

The matter will be mentioned on June 27, 2019.
