Shaffie Weru, a 39-year-old radio presenter, has dismissed rumors that he was sacked from his job at KISS FM. The presenter has been off the air for almost a month, leading many to speculate that he was fired to make way for new hosts Kamene Goro and Andrew Kibe.
However, in an interview on Upclose with Betty, Weru denied the rumors, stating that he was on annual leave.
Weru, who has been hosting the morning show for close to five years with Adelle Onyango, who resigned early this month, also revealed that he has a side hustle, Roya Entertainment Company, which focuses on sports entertainment.
During the interview, Weru also opened up about his personal life, revealing that he has been single for three and a half years and has a number of friends with benefits.
He also set conditions for any woman who wants to settle down with him, stating that she must be smart and spiritually connected, and be able to accept everything that comes with him, including his children.
Weru's comments come as a surprise to many, who had thought that he was no longer working at KISS FM. However, he has assured his fans that he will be back on the air in a couple of days.
