Published on June 29, 2019, a 25-year-old man was arrested in Nzaui sub-county, Makueni County, for allegedly defiling his two nieces.
The victims, orphans living with their grandfather, a divorcee, were taken to Matiliku Health Centre where doctors confirmed they had been sexually assaulted.
According to Kawala location chief Nicodemus Masila, the girls revealed that their uncle sneaked into their room on several occasions and defiled them both.
The suspect, identified as Mutunga Fifty, was taken to Emali Police station and will be arraigned in court once investigations are complete.
