For many Kenyans, securing a job after years of education is a dream come true.
However, for Michelle Kamene Goro and Andrew Kibe Mburu, their new job at Kiss 100 has turned into a nightmare.
NRG Radio, their former employer, has served them with court papers, alleging that they are not allowed to work for any other radio station.
The Employment and Labour Relations Court was set to hear the case on Friday, June 28, 2019.
This is not the first time a radio station has tried to restrict an employee's freedom to work elsewhere.
Caroline Mutoko, the founder of Kiss 100, faced a similar situation when she was setting up the station.
Capital FM had served her with papers seeking to bar her from going on air, but she and Radio Africa Group successfully fought the case.
