On Thursday, May 27, 2021, the Michael Joseph Centre played host to a star-studded event as Baze, a mobile-first video-on-demand service, was launched.

Comedians, influencers, singers, and actors flocked to the event, eager to experience the new platform that promises to offer a wide selection of local and regional short-form videos in various genres.

According to Sylvia Mulinge, Chief Customer Officer at Safaricom, the goal of Baze is to provide customers with a carefully curated collection of video content across their favourite genres, giving users freedom, choice, and control over the content they consume.
