Redson Otieno Onyango wa Wadi ya Ngei, a Member of County Assembly (MCA) from Nairobi County, was arrested on June 28, 2019, at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) for allegedly trafficking heroin.
According to the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI), Otieno will be charged with trafficking narcotics.
On June 28, 2019, Otieno was arrested after a consignment of heroin was seized at JKIA. The DCI stated that the MCA will be charged with trafficking narcotics.
On June 19, 2019, Jaffer Isaak Sora, a Marsabit gubernatorial aspirant in the 2013 elections, was arrested for trafficking 445 kilograms of bhang worth KSh 13.35 million on the Isiolo-Moyale highway.
"MCA Redson Otieno Onyango wa Wadi ya Ngei was arrested today evening following the arrest of a consignment of heroin at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport. He will be charged with trafficking narcotics," the DCI stated on April 19, 2019.
