For many Kenyans, securing a job after years of education is a dream come true. However, for Michelle Kamene Goro and Andrew Kibe Mburu, this dream turned into a nightmare when their former employer, NRG Radio, sued them for taking up new jobs at Kiss 100.
According to reports, the duo was served with court papers informing them that NRG Radio does not want them to work for any other radio station. This move is reminiscent of a similar case involving Caroline Mutoko, who was also sued by Capital FM when she was setting up Kiss 100.
However, unlike the previous case, where Radio Africa Group and Caroline Mutoko successfully fought the case, the outcome of this lawsuit remains uncertain. The Employment and Labour Relations Court was expected to hear the case on Friday, June 28, 2019.
