On June 29, 2019, Xiaomi revealed its initial list of devices that would receive the Android Q update, but surprisingly left out the Pocophone F1. The list was incomplete, so this omission was not unexpected.
However, on July 7, 2019, Xiaomi made a U-turn, announcing that the Pocophone F1 would be part of its Android Q beta testing program. Interested users can now enroll their devices to try the Android Q beta update.
According to Xiaomi, users who enroll their devices will be confirmed on July 10, 2019, after which the Q beta build will be pushed to their devices. This process is not limited to any region, so users from all over the world can submit their interest.
However, there are certain conditions that users must meet to be eligible for the beta testing program. These include unlocking the bootloader of their Pocophone F1, using the latest global stable ROM, being willing to deal with unstable software that can be buggy, and being an active Mi community member, among others.
