Published on May 6, 2021, a post on social media highlighted the interest of many Kenyan women in Bill Gates following his divorce from Melinda. While it's understandable that many would be drawn to one of the world's richest men, comedian YY has a different perspective.

Local Options Abound

YY argues that Kenyan women should consider local celebrities who are also single, rather than pursuing someone like Bill Gates. He points out that there are several local celebrities who have been divorced and are still single, including Daddy Owen, Mejja, Ben Pol, and Willis Raburu.

YY expressed his thoughts on his Instagram, saying:

"Kenyan girls, I've just discovered most of you are long sighted. You can see far but can't see close. Bill Gates just divorced the other day. All of you are sliding into his DMs... Oh, I'm the one you've been waiting for... And you're pretending as if Benpol haku divorce juzi. Mnajifanya hamjui. Mejja is single, Willis Raburu ako. In fact amekuwa apo for like 1 year sasa. Mnajifanya. Daddy Owen... Lakini sasa burger mtaweza? Kama ugali ndogo na strong tea mnashindwa. Na ile pesa ako nayo mta handle?... Kenyan girls I'm asking you?"

What do you think about YY's thoughts? Should Kenyan women prioritize local celebrities or take a chance with Bill Gates?
