Senator Johnson Sakaja, a prominent figure in Nairobi's politics, is currently being pursued by police after he failed to report to the Kilimani Police Station following his release on bond.
On July 18, 2020, at around 8 pm, Senator Sakaja was arrested at the Ladies Lounge in Kilimani for violating liquor laws.
He was found drunk and disorderly with his friends, who refused to leave when asked by the police. The situation escalated, with the senator threatening to have all the police officers removed from the Kilimani Police Station within 24 hours.
