Safaricom has scheduled a 5-hour outage of Mpesa services on Thursday, June 25, 2020, to facilitate routine maintenance.
The outage, which will last from midnight to 5 am, will affect all MPesa-related transactions, including airtime purchase.
According to Safaricom, the maintenance is necessary to support the continued transformation of millions of lives in Kenya, which M-PESA has been doing for over 13 years.
"The timing of this maintenance activity has been planned to result in the least of inconvenience to our customers," Safaricom said in a statement. "We apologise for any inconvenience that may be caused and thank you for your continued support."
