On June 23, 2020, the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) detectives made a significant breakthrough in the fight against burglaries in Parklands, Nairobi County.
Following increased complaints from residents, the DCI launched investigations into the theft, which led to the arrest of five suspects.
The suspects, identified as Susan Wambui Njoroge, Kennedy Aluoch, Kilibe Justin, Samson Wanjohi, and James Mwangi, were apprehended by a combined team of Crime Research and Intelligence Bureau (CRIB) officers and Nairobi Regional DCI office detectives.
During the arrests, the DCI detectives recovered assorted items suspected to have been stolen from victims' houses, including laptops, jewelry, mobile phone chargers, and hard drives.
The suspects are currently in lawful custody and will be charged accordingly, as stated by the DCI on their Twitter handle.
