KUCCPS Reopens Course Revision Portal
The Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) has once again opened its online portal.
Thus, providing a crucial second opportunity for qualified Form Four leavers to revise their course choices for the upcoming academic year.
This window offers a lifeline to students who may not have secured their preferred courses during the initial application period.
As well as those who have met the minimum qualifications in their Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) examinations.
They have yet to submit their applications for university or Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) programs.
This timely reopening of the portal underscores KUCCPS’s commitment to ensuring that all eligible students.
Indeed have the chance to pursue higher education and training opportunities that align with their academic qualifications and career aspirations.
The exercise, which commenced on Sunday, May 18th, 2025, will remain open for a specified period, urging prompt action from prospective students.

What’s Happening?
From May 18 to May 27, 2025, KUCCPS is allowing a second and final chance to:
Apply for placement into tertiary institutions
Revise previously selected courses
Correct or update choices if not placed earlier
The placement is government-sponsored and includes universities, TVETs, and KMTC institutions across the country.
Who Can Apply?
The portal is open to the following groups:
1. KCSE 2024 Candidates
Scored C+ and above? You can apply for degree programmes in public and private universities.
Scored C to E? You are eligible for diploma, certificate, and artisan programmes in TVET institutions.
2. Candidates from Previous Years (2000–2023)
You can apply for TVET courses if you’ve never been placed before via KUCCPS.
3. Students Not Placed in Earlier Applications
If your earlier application was unsuccessful, KUCCPS has sent you a notification SMS and flagged your portal for revision.
Tip: Even if you had applied earlier, double-check your status on the portal to ensure your application was successful!

Log in using:
KCSE Index Number
KCSE Year
Password (Your birth certificate number or KCPE index number)
Browse available courses, compare institutions, and select your preferred choices.
Pay the placement fee and submit.

40+ Public Universities
29 Private Universities
The Open University of Kenya
263+ TVET institutions
KMTC and other government-affiliated colleges
