Another Mugabe: General Secretary Isaiah Kubai Has Led BIFU From 1984 To Date

BIFU General Secretary Isaiah Kubai Hi Nyakundi, I would like you to serialize the BIFU Impunity to let Kenyans know what is going on. The Items are grouped.

Organisational impunity.

The General Secretary, Isaiah Kubai has led BIFU from 1984 to date. With no credible elections ever held since that time. Thus not subjecting himself to the electorate he is supposed to serve. Members are not involved in the affairs of the union at all. Kubai's only need is their monthly subscription of KES 600. Which he takes as either union membership fee or agency fee. In that period he has handled the union as his personal property. Whilst the union must declare the books of accounts to its Members, Kubai has refused to do this for the last 32 years. Whilst the union must maintain a register of members & make it accessible to its members. Kubai has kept this as a top secret. For fear of workers organising to overthrow him. Members of BIFU are routinely chased from the union offices when they take their grievances there. Thereby exposing employees to the wrath of their employers. Regards Duncan Muthusi
